中國航母山東艦在台灣東部外海繞行，名為訓練卻沒艦載機做起降訓練，桃園市議員同時也是備役少將的于北辰在《94要客訴》節目分析，山東艦的編隊陪同艦僅有054A型飛彈護衛艦和901型綜合補給艦各1艘，沒有艦載機起降紀錄。這不會是無目的的漫遊，合理推測應該是水下有中共潛艦在活動。

于北辰分析所謂潛艦活動，應該是中共想熟悉台灣東部海面下的水文及地形，過了巴士海峽水變很深，但是美軍的尼米茲號已經擋在距離山東艦200海里處，也會有美軍潛艦在水面下散開防守。尼米茲號的上方是日本自衛隊的朝霧號協防，左前方有國軍的軍艦，一起防堵水面下的中共潛艦亂竄，可以說是有默契的聯合防守。
