央行外匯局局長蔡(火冏)民表示，4月美元指數升值1.66%，央行進場調節阻貶新台幣，使外匯存底月減10.81億美元。4月外資賣超台股逾1300億元新台幣，含盈餘匯出則達70多億美元。
蔡(火冏)民表示，4月美元指數升值，各主要貨幣中，僅有澳幣及人民幣相對美元走升，其他包括歐元、英鎊、加幣及日圓都呈現貶值，其中，日圓貶值3.47%幅度最大。
蔡(火冏)民表示，目前市場對於FED在年底前降息2碼的預期仍有6成，目前貨幣政策對股票市場影響力已經低於2022年，倒是市場對景氣看法，對股市影響力升高。目前市場對美國景氣前景的看法有趨緩，也因此，支撐FED在年底前降息2碼的觀點。
